28 things about our girl Trixie, written by our girl Trixie:
♥ Never leaves the house without the following things: chapstick, id, phone, pen & paper, a water bottle, gum and her purse.
♥ Is only ever called by her full name by two people: her father and her ex-boss. And even those are debatable.
♥ Always has the following in her apartment: chips and salsa, skittles, Coke, lunch meat, mustard and bread.
♥ Brushes her teeth 5 times a day.
♥ Decided to teach little kids because they smell like little kids- like finger paint and paste, peanut butter jelly sandwiches and juice boxes, crayons and copy paper.
♥ Thinks college was the best and worst time of her life. School was good, her social life was goofy. When school went all sideways, her social life was good. When she taught the kids she taught, everything was golden.
♥ The only time better than college was the summer she spent abroad. Which, while it was still college, was when she had to take chances and make decisions she'd never before imagined.
♥ Has a love hate relationship with: her handwriting, her wardrobe and pop music.
♥ Could eat the following things every day: Jimmy Johns sandwiches , pizza, burritos, carrots and cupcakes.
♥ Is a die hard Cubs fan. Which is why she lives so close to Wrigley Field. There's a kind of magic in the air.
♥ Has been known to do the following things: eat frosting out of the container, sing into her hairbrush, dance in her underpants, play in the sprinklers, wear socks and Birkenstocks.
♥ Doesn't have a poker face.
♥ Named her puppy Willie the Shakes. She wanted to name him Mercutio, but that seemed a little pretentious. He's usually just Shakey.
♥ Reads voraciously- is currently working her way through the Great Books collection from Barnes & Noble.
♥ Has 5 tattoos.
♥ Loves her job, even if it kind of scares her to death.
♥ Loves her name, and the hokey reasons for it- Trixie, because it makes her feel alternately old and young; Evans for her mother, since she was an only child; and the way Abernathy feels in your mouth.
♥ Thinks that being an only child has made her both selfish and giving. Even if she can't quite get the balance right.
♥ Gets the occasional migraine.
♥ Swears like a trucker. As in, sits in her cars and says all the foul words she can think of before going in to teach the young and impressionable future of America.
♥ Always has her fingernails painted. Right now they're glittery black.
♥ Believes in the following things: magic, real love, good hair days, fairies and the Church of Baseball.
♥ Loves the color aqua. Not blue, just aqua.
♥ Doesn't eat anything blue or banana flavored. Ever. Although, she does eat bananas.
♥ Laughs inappropriately- too loud and too often.
♥ Never wears a watch, despite being a freak about being on time.
♥ Believes the world can change in an instant- everyone we come into contact with, we connect with reason... whether we know it or not. She blames that on Grandma Evans.
♥ Keeps a diary. It's a habit that started when she was 8, then dropped off until she went to Europe. Refinding the diary was part of her figuring out herself.
